Damon prostheses are used prior to the more complex types of orthodontic therapy, which address major abnormalities and correct even the most irregular teeth. They are intended for patients with extreme irregularities in the arrangement of their teeth.

Unlike traditional prostheses, Damon prostheses do not contain elastic ligatures but self-ligating appliances and, in straightening the teeth, they use memory wire arches - which deliver continuous biological forces. These biological forces are gentle yet highly effective, similar to the forces exerted by facial muscles, and have an effective impact on restoring the correct position of the teeth.

Depending on various factors present in each individual case, this therapy lasts on average one and a half years, up to a maximum of three years. Two-day visits to Belgrade are scheduled every three months to monitor progress and adjust the prosthesis accordingly.
